mind = blown

This was my first GWAR show and they were just as amazing as Beavis and Butthead led me to believe they would be all those years ago. Despite the fact that GWAR is old enough that they may not even be wearing makeup anymore, they still bring an amazing show with over-the-top giant foam costumes, massive amounts of fake blood and goo, onstage battles, and celebrity sacrifices, all to the soundtrack of mediocre jud-jud metal. The venue is pretty small, which I actually think was really good for a show like this. For better or for worse, there were few places you could go to avoid getting sprayed by faux effuse and GWAR pretty much dominated the whole stage. The audience, full of legit metal fans and post-punk ironic hipsters alike, was insanely energetic and involved. Overall, the best time I've had getting squirted by blood from a giant fake penis in a long time.
